Locitude started out as just any other blog in March of 2014 sharing the experience of a Nigerian loc head, Ade Balogun.

With the help of friends, family and hair enthusiasts Locitude hosted Loc Appreciation Day, 2014 in Lagos Nigeria; the very first in Africa and then quickly became a fast growing community for Nigerian and West African Loc heads. Through the help of social media, more and more loc heads are connecting, learning and sharing useful tips and styles for locs.

Locitude, also prides itself as the publisher of the Locitude Magazine which is a compliation of mostly articles from the blog which helps to extend the loc inspiration to the offline community.

Locitude, is on a mission to help Nigerians, West Africans, Africans and the world see that locs can be a choice hairstyle and a beautiful alternative to wearing natural hair.
